We set up Naked Wines because we believe that the wine industry could be so much better. The two important people – the wine drinker and the winemaker – could be getting a better deal. So we decided to do something about it.
The model we came up with turned out to be ahead of its time… crowdfunding. Our customers support independent winemakers, and in exchange get exclusive access to delicious wines, at preferential prices.
The whole premise of Naked Wines is that you are joining a community and benefiting from the recommendations and experiences of fellow consumers. Our belief is that great wine should be an everyday pleasure, not a privilege. We give talented winemakers the freedom and time to make wines that inspire, supported by a community of passionate wine drinkers, which results in a virtuous circle where everyone is better off; customers get a full experience, not just a product, and the best wines you’ve ever tasted!
Naked Wines has a fast growing and loyal subscriber base of Angels across its three markets and works with over 197 independent winemakers, producing 1,000+ wines in 17 countries.

COO Naked Wines
Nick was appointed to the Board as an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer in June 2019. He has been, and will remain, the Managing Director of our Naked Wines division in the US.
Nick has played a significant role in the development of our current business worldwide and has a wealth of experience in corporate strategy, specifically in analytical problem solving and customer segmentation. He graduated from Selwyn College, Cambridge with a First Class Honors in History.

Fran joined the business from day dot, helping the founding team to sketch out the proposition – and launch the business in a hectic but exciting two-month period.
Fran has held a variety of positions over the past 10 years, heading up Continuous Improvement, moving into Demand Planning – and most recently leading the Marketing Team. Fran is currently steering the UK ship as interim Managing Director.

Alicia joined Naked Wines in 2019 after working as the Head of Growth and Strategy at the Australian “unicorn” Afterpay and running other fast growth start-ups, both private and listed throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
